AU Partners With Project Lead The Way For Stem Programs

Anderson University and Project Lead The Way (PLTW) recently entered into a partnership that will allow students to earn credits for AU through PLTW courses.

Project Lead the Way) is a nonprofit organization that offers STEM programs to students of all ages, helping prepare them for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. PLTW’s programs prepare students to work in STEM fields, learn technical skills, critical thinking, problem solving, and more.

Anderson University supports PLTW’s programs as a partner school that prepares students for successful STEM careers by providing the best possible education through its science and engineering curriculum.

PLTW programs prepare students for high-demand technology and engineering careers that require higher education, like those at Anderson University. AU feels that Project Lead the Way provides a highly valuable experience that allows high school students to gain experience in engineering design and exposure to engineering concepts. These experiences give students an advantage as they enter into engineering education.

“Project Lead the Way prepares students with an outstanding background of what careers look like in engineering, sciences, and technology,” said Dr. Ben McPheron, chair of physical sciences and engineering. “We are so excited to partner with PLTW to allow us to guide students from their programs to high-impact careers through exceptional undergraduate engineering education at Anderson University.”

AU supports PLTW by awarding credits for completed Project Lead the Way courses.

Students are awarded one credit towards ENGR 3850: Engineering Projects Lab and seven additional courses. For more information on the partnership, visit AU online.
