Shropshire Scores 17 against Southern Indiana

NCAA Division I's University of Southern Indiana (4-5) captured a 78-47 win against the Anderson University men's basketball team on Wednesday in Evansville.

The contest served as a regular-season matchup for Southern Indiana and an exhibition for Anderson.

Fred Shropshire scored 17 points to lead the Ravens. The junior guard from Springfield, Ohio knocked down 5-of-8 (62.5 percent) shots from 3-point range.

COACH CARTER COLLINS'S COMMENTS

I was a bit disappointed with our first half - not from an effort standpoint, but from an execution standpoint. But, I was really happy with how we came out in the first ten minutes of the second half with a better focus and mindset about us; we really cut into the lead that they had built in the first half. Hopefully we take this great opportunity to play at Southern Indiana as a learning opportunity - when we're focused on executing the gameplan, we can hang with just about anybody.
