Ravenedge Career Fair Provides Students Networking Opportunities
Anderson University recently hosted RavenEdge: Science, Tech, Engineering, Math, and Business Career Day. Hosted by AU’s Center for Career and Calling in partnership with the Falls School of Business and the School of Science and Engineering, the event allowed students the opportunity to network with professionals from the state and region, while also hearing from guest speakers and panelists.
The fair brought together more than 300 computer science, engineering, and business students to hear from keynote speaker and AU alum Kelly Williams ’91 ’21, CEO of National Waste Partners.
Students also heard from panels of recent AU graduates and learned about interview and networking best practices from a panel of HR professionals. The day ended with a career fair that allowed students to share their skills and professionalism with employers as they explored full-time and internship opportunities.
“The opportunity to hear from a distinguished alum like Kelly Williams, along with panels of recent AU grads and HR professionals, was a fantastic resource for our students and one we hope will help them as they prepare to be the leaders of tomorrow’s workforce,” said Dr. Lonnie Leeper, dean of the Falls School of Business.
The event was a chance for students to dedicate necessary time to their future.
“RavenEdge Career Day gives our students the opportunity to take one full day each year to give proper thought and preparation to being fully career-ready,” said Dr. Chad Wallace, dean of the School of Science and Engineering.
