Event Details
Explore nature right here in Madison County and celebrate this year's Indiana Humanities One State/One Story community read "World of Wonders" by Aimee Nezhukumatathil!*
Have you ever wondered about the trees around you? What is the difference between an Oak and a Maple? What are the weird green “blobs” called hedge apples and how do they relate to trees? Join a Mounds State Park Naturalist for a 90 minute hike and learn how to identify 20, or more, native trees. Hike will involve stairs and rough terrain.
Grab your spot to take in the fall foliage and learn about the trees native to Indiana from a park naturalist.**
**Registration is required for each person attending the hike including children over the age of 3. Spaces are limited.
*Entrance into the park will be free for registered attendees and paid for by Anderson Public Library's One State/One Story grant.
We will gather at the Nature Center.
