A Ribbon Cutting Was Held This Evening For The New Proverbs 31 Salon Located At 1530 South “A” Street
When asked why she chose to open a business here in Elwood, Owner/Stylist, Heather Lovell stated, “Elwood is my home town. I was born and raised here, and it’s always been my dream to own my own salon.” The mother of two children David and Charcin Hobbs, Heather went on to say “my parents Charlie and Cindy Lovell always inspired me to grow and be the best I can be. Their vision matched mine in owning my own business and the timing was right to finally fulfill that dream of owning my own salon. The building that I purchased has a lot of history in Elwood, and I thought it would be neat to carry on the tradition of having a hair salon in this building.
We named the salon Proverbs 31 because in the Bible Proverbs 31.13 says she works willingly with her hands. My cousin Erica Vinson came up with the name as we were remodeling the building by ourselves and the meaning of Proverbs 31.13 couldn’t have been more true.”
