The Annual Elwood Jr/Sr High School Day Of Caring
The weather for the annual Elwood Jr/Sr High School Day of Caring may have been rainy and dreary, but that didn't effect the student's willingness to work hard and give back to their community. On the day of Caring each year, the students spend their day at various city departments and businesses performing a variety of tasks. Due to the rain this year, many of the outdoor projects weren't able to be completed, but the day was still a huge success!
It is no easy task to plan an event of this magnitude! Mayor Jones and the City of Elwood would like to give special thanks to Angie O'Donnell, the Student Council, and everyone who had a hand in planning and organizing this event each year and to the students who worked hard all day showing the true spirit of volunteerism.
We look forward next year's Day of Caring!
