Csx Announces Railroad Crossing Repairs
Anderson City Engineer Matt House, has received notification that CSX will be conducting repairs on three CSX railroad crossing beginning Monday, May 9, 2022. The repairs are expected to take two weeks, according to CSX.
The MLK Boulevard crossing immediately south of 29th Street, and the railroad crossing at 32nd Street near Columbus Avenue and the crossing on Columbus Avenue immediately south of 32nd Street will be the affected crossings.
The roads associated with the crossing repairs will be closed and detours will be required.
Under federal law, railroad crossings may only be repaired by the railroads.
Please adjust your travel plans to avoid these construction closures.
