Please join us for a presentation on A History of Horse Racing Tracks in Madison County with Madison County Historian, Stephen T. Jackson. This presentation examines the storied history of Madison County’s eight unique horse racing tracks beginning with the first in 1850 to the present. The presentation takes an in-depth look at the local development of the “Spot of Kings” from its crude beginnings in our county to today where it has become a significant part of Indiana’s 1.3 billion dollar agribusiness industry employing more than 22,500 Hoosiers throughout the state.
