County of Hamilton recently issued the following announcement.
The Hamilton County Council and Board of Commissioners are excited to announce the release of a new survey for Hamilton County employers. The survey is part of a broader study and builds on the earlier State of the Workforce study completed in September 2019 prior to the outbreak of COVID-19. This updated study will provide greater clarity on the impact of the pandemic on employers’ needs, along with the needs of students and the workforce in Hamilton County. The survey can be found at: https://www.surveylegend.com/s/3wjt and will be open until February 23rd.
Hamilton County government leaders seek to understand the workforce issues that have occurred over the past two years. According to Mike Thibideau, Vice President at Invest Hamilton County, “This is an unprecedented era in the labor market and as our community meets this moment, and plans for the future, priorities must be informed by where employers are now.” The study will provide guidance to employers, workers, students, and community leaders.
Through the broader study, Hamilton County leadership is working to improve the efficiency of programs for COVID-Impacted individuals by enhanced data analysis and outreach aimed at reducing the barriers that exist for these populations. Based on the research, Hamilton County will work to connect COVID-Impacted individuals to training programs specifically designed to meet employer needs.
The Hamilton County Council and Board of Commissioners encourages all businesses in Hamilton County to complete the survey. “We would like to hear from businesses of all sizes and representative of all industries in our communities,” says Commissioner Christine Altman. “Employer input is key to ensuring we increase the ability of Hamilton County employers to attract, retain, and advance the talent they need for business growth.”
