Alexandria Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
Join the Alexandria-Monroe Chamber of Commerce for an annual event that brightens downtown Alexandria!
Meeting at Cornerstone Church through downtown Alexandria. Line up is at 5:15pm at Cornerstone Church, with the parade starting at 6pm. The route is South on Harrison street, and then West on Washington street and will be ending at Jane Pauley Community Health Center. Awards will be given out at Harrison Square as the winners pass by. The theme for this year is “Everything Christmas”.
Guidelines for Entry:
All entries should be decorated with holiday décor.
Please Clearly identify organization or business for parade observers and voting.
Please Do Not include Santa with your entry
Forty foot space per unit available– no more than two motorized vehicles
Available Awards:
Best Float, Best Unit on Foot, Judges Choice
Parade starts at the back parking lot of Cornerstone Church (Polk & Sullivan St.) All entries will need to line up by 5:30 at the latest.
