Hamilton County Health Department Reopening Vaccination Clinic at Fairgrounds

Hamilton County recently issued the following announcement.

First, Second, and Booster Doses of Pfizer to be Administered 

(NOBLESVILLE, OCTOBER 5, 2021)

The Hamilton County Health Department will reopen its mass vaccination clinic at the 4H Fairgrounds in Noblesville on Wednesday, October 6th. Hours will be 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. 

“At this time we’ll only be administering the first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine, as well as booster shots,” says Christian Walker, the health department’s emergency preparedness coordinator. “Booster vaccines are currently limited to those who received their second Pfizer shot at least six months ago.” 

Only those who are 65 years of age or older as well as those who are 18 years and older with underlying medical conditions or who live or work in high-risk settings are eligible for a Pfizer booster. 

High-risk residences include health care settings, schools, correctional facilities, and homeless shelters. High-risk occupations include first responders (healthcare workers, firefighters, police, congregate care staff), education staff (teachers, support staff, daycare workers), food and agriculture workers, manufacturing workers, corrections workers, U.S. Postal Service workers, public transit workers, and grocery store workers.
