The HCSO Community Foundation’s Heroes Run

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Community Foundation is hosting its first ever Heroes Run at Strawtown Koteewi Park (Noblesville) on October 30th, 2021.  This fun fall event is specifically designed for all families.   The run/walking event will help encourage positive interactions, embrace the great outdoors, and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Our community members are the real heroes when they work alongside law enforcement by contributing to the HCSO.  The HCSO Community Foundation’s mission is to help the less fortunate in our community, support HCSO’s hard working employees and build strong relationships. Teachers, dispatchers, farmers, firemen, nurses, medics, mechanics, etc., can all help make our community an even better place to live when we work together on a worthy cause.

The Heroes Run will include events for all ages and abilities.  You could sign-up to do a 1 mile walk, 5K run/walk, 10K run or a virtual challenge.  Additionally, our sources indicate young children could compete in a free SWAT Challenge race with an HCSO Tactical Team Member up a big hill.

The Heroes Run is a great example of teamwork and trailblazing in Hamilton County.  The Hamilton County Parks Department graciously permitted the Heroes Run to occur at Strawtown Koteewi Park, located at 11800 Koteewi Drive, Noblesville, Indiana, 46060. The trail travels along the beautiful White River.  Most trails are very well-groomed with crushed limestone which is stroller friendly. The park is the biggest and most scenic park in Hamilton County.  It consists of 800 acres of rich biodiversity including woodlands, wetlands and immense prairie grasses.  Come for the Heroes Run, but please consider checking out the other activities the park has to offer: nature center, archeological dig display, archery range, horseback trips, fishing pond and adventures in the tree tops.

Please sign up online: https://runsignup.com/indianaheroesrun  and share the event with friends and family.  If you or your business is interested to become a sponsor please call 317-776-1831. Lace up those shoes and we’ll see you at the park
