Of the 129,455 citizens living in Madison County in 2019, 101,226 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 51,196 of those people were female and 50,030 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
