Indianapolis Sinus Center hopes it can improve the quality of life for people in the Greenwood area who are suffering from sinusitis.
Chronic sinusitis affects roughly 37 million people each year with various symptoms, including sinus pain and pressure, headaches, nasal congestion, facial swelling and tooth pain. Among the treatments Indianapolis Sinus Center offers is balloon sinus dilation, which involves opening the sinus passageway to restore airflow and allow for drainage. The procedure is done in the office and can result in immediate relief for patients.
“Our philosophy is to provide the very best state-of-the-art care for chronic nasal and sinus problems, utilizing the latest minimally invasive technologies to allow for physiologic treatment and maintaining normal nasal function, as well as reduced pain and shorter recovery times,” Dr. Anthony Sanders told the Anderson Reporter. “Typically people can be back to work within a few days after the procedure.”
Sinus procedure recovery time can range from a couple of days to a couple of weeks, depending on the type of surgery, according to My Sinusitis.
If the surgery is less invasive and the patient has a desk job, it may be possible to return to work within just a couple of days.
The goal of most nasal surgeries is to reduce the frequency of infections, as well as to relieve symptoms, according to WebMD.
